Our state executives are shoving cities like ours into a dangerous corner, risking federal funding by forcing us to pick between the U.S. Constitution’s supremacy clause—upholding border and immigration laws—and their reckless super-sanctuary schemes that coddle illegal criminals. These policies don’t protect; they endanger us, prioritizing lawbreakers over public safety. Sanctuary isn’t noble—it’s a betrayal of every law-abiding citizen in San Diego.

Huntington Beach’s Mayor Pat Burns, a 30-year retired Long Beach cop, and his council were the first in the state to ditch sanctuary policies.
