Victory! El Cajon’s City Council voted 3-2 to pass a ‘Not Sanctuary’ policy to cooperate to their maximum ability with federal authorities in the removal of violent illegal criminals and to indemnify our law enforcement to protect them from political persecution from Sacramento. Councilman Phil Ortiz and Steve Goble voted with Mayor Bill Wells to make El Cajon safe, while disappointedly, Councilmembers Gary Kendrick and Michelle Metschel voted for the protection of criminals on the street. Both are Republicans.
A Special Thank You for the Strong Showing of Support and Thoughtful Public Comments Made to Strengthen the Resolve of Our Strong Council Members!

San Clemente may have found a loophole to cooperate with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that would otherwise prevent such cooperation under SB54.

San Clemente's CBP cooperation, including the installation of surveillance cameras, epitomizes a creative and strategic maneuver around the constraints of California's sanctuary state policy. By forging a direct partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) rather than relying on local law enforcement, San Clemente ingeniously sidesteps the legal limitations that would otherwise prevent such cooperation. This initiative, which involves deploying advanced technology like rotating telescopic lenses and thermal imaging across 7 miles of coastline to detect migrant boats or smuggling activities, showcases a proactive stance on public safety without overtly challenging state laws. We hope to have Mayor Steven Knoblock on an upcoming show to learn more!

Update on Protect Women and Girls Sports Act
Joel Anderson was reportedly out sick yesterday, and it’s unclear why he didn’t phone in his vote to support his fellow conservative Supervisor Jim Desmond’s policy. without a motion to second, the policy could not go to a vote on the floor. We had a strong showing of support at this event-thank you!
Join us this Friday at 2 PM to hear from Supervisor Desmond with an update!
